Overall objectives

  • Definition of optimal requirements for auxiliary services from an intelligent PV + VE microgrid and development of the microgrid model:

    Analysis of current and future requirements for the provision of auxiliary services from microgrids that improve the stability of the electrical system in various scenarios; implementation of specifications in each element of the microgrid; development of the microgrid model and input variables for different time scales that make possible both studies of economic optimization of energy and service provision, as well as impact evaluation studies on the network.

  • Energy management and provision of auxiliary services of the intelligent PV + VE microgrid based on economic dispatch:

    Optimization of power and energy flows within the microgrid, taking into account the economic profitability of energy management and provision of auxiliary services; definition of the management and control strategy according to the microgrid converters.

  • Impact evaluation of the provision of auxiliary services from smart PV + VE microgrids in the electrical system:

    Impact analysis of the provision of auxiliary services from microgrids on real electrical systems.

  • Validation of project developments:

    Development of a PV + VE microgrid prototype to validate the technologies and control strategies designed in the project.
